Awen
Found a place online? Add it to a day of your trip in Journey in a couple of clicks.
Free. Works in Chrome on your computer.
On iPhone and iPad, Awen comes with the Journey app this November.
What is Awen
What is Awen?
Awen is a small helper for your browser. When you find a place, a hotel or a restaurant online, you pick the day, and it’s in your trip in Journey and on your phone a moment later.
Send a booking to your trip.
Open a hotel or flight confirmation and click Awen. It reads the booking and its date, and you approve it on your phone before anything is added.
Bring a trip over from Wanderlog.
Already planned a trip in Wanderlog? Awen copies the whole thing into Journey: days, places, flights, hotels and confirmation emails.
What Awen reads.
Nothing leaves the page until you press a button.
Where it works
Right next to the places on travel sites.
On a few travel sites (Google Maps, Wanderlog, Lonely Planet, Condé Nast Traveler and Journey guides), an Add to Journey button appears next to each place. Pick the trip and the day, and it’s saved. On any other page, click Awen in your toolbar.
Get started
Set up in about a minute.
In the Journey app, open Settings, then Assistants and browsers. Tap the plus, then Pair a browser.
Type the code into Awen and you’re done.
On iPhone and iPad
No code to type. Turn Awen on in Safari’s settings. Then in Journey, open Settings, Assistants and browsers, Safari on this iPhone, and tap Connect Safari. Safari on the Mac comes later.
Awen is free on the Chrome Web Store. It needs the Journey app, which arrives this November.
